In June 2020, the online fragrance service Scentbird experienced a significant data breach that resulted in the exposure of personal information from more than 5.8 million customers. The compromised data included customer names, email addresses, gender information, dates of birth, passwords (stored as bcrypt hashes), and indicators of password strength.
